Sunday Summary
It has been another busy week at BlogCatalog. We switched over to our new database server on Wednesday night and had a bit of a rough time on Thursday getting things situated. After a few days of tweaking, poking, and prodding the new server, things are running faster than ever.
If you have logged into BlogCatalog today, you may have also noticed that you are now redirected to the dashboard upon first arrival. We had been having some performance issues the last few weeks with some of the busier, larger dashboards, but the new server and a few tweaks have put the problem to bed for now. In addition, clicking the BC logo while logged in will also take you to your dashboard. If you aren’t using your BC dashboard you are missing out, it’s an amazing way to see what your friends are up to across multiple social networks.
We have some great stuff in the works for BlogCatalog in the coming weeks, Most noticeably the visual refresh is just days away from being finalized, so stay tuned!
